Joe Karbo was one of the foremost copy-writers, headline writers and direct response experts of all time.
Anyone living in Los Angeles in the 1970’s and 80’s will remember Joe on late night TV, and the ads he placed in print selling his book; The Lazy Mans Way to Riches.
Joe's ads for the "Lazy Man" ran for years in every major newspaper and magazine in the United States... and most large foreign papers as well.
The ads were so different than anything seen before, the ads themselves became famous.
Fun fact is that he wrote the ad before he wrote the book. He wanted to see if there was a market for the book before he took the time to write it. Was there ever!
He could never have foreseen the impact The Lazy Man’s Way to Riches has had on the lives of many people through many decades.
And those ads were...and are… still studied, examined, dissected, and used as models for direct response marketing and selling throughout the world.
