Richard G. Nixon: The New Lazy Man
Richard G. Nixon achieved early career success in the field of real estate, with his own full service real estate firm, and in the business community as a "turn around specialist" with a large American based business conglomerate. As an executive with K-Tel International, Inc., he pioneered the television sales promotion industry in the late 1970's by promoting such products as The Miracle Brush®, The Kitchen Magician®, Wham-0 Toys®, and K- Tel's most famous products - Compilation Records ("22 original hits by the original stars" and "The Best of...")
Nixon co-founded Radiographic Development Corp. (RDC) a medical X-ray manufacturing company that he took public in 1980. RDC re-manufactured medical X-Ray equipment for sale to clinics and radiology departments, private and government owned hospitals, the Veterans Administration and foreign owned health systems. RDC was a leader in low-dose fluoroscopy and a pioneer in high-speed cinematography for coronary and cerebral angiographies.
After taking RDC Public, he retired at 40. No male member of his family had lived to be 40, and he thought he would not make it either. When he did, he realized something was missing in his life so he took some time to re-evaluate. In doing so, he remembered this book called The Lazy Man’s Way to Riches by Joe Karbo that a friend had told him about previously.
After reading it and applying the principles of the program to his life and seeing what a difference it made, he bought from the estate of the late Joe Karbo so that he could carry on the great work Joe started. Richard credits Joe Karbo with much of the success that Richard has enjoyed in his own personal and business life.
His teaching ability as well as his keen interest in philosophy, spirituality, and personal growth has been the underlying forces throughout Nixon's life and teachings.
Since the 1970's, Nixon has served as consultant, seminar leader, and key- note speaker for a diverse variety of businesses, Colleges and Universities, Governments, Banks and Industry Trade associations' throughout the world, as well as a Chair for TEC; Chief Executives Working Together.
As a visionary business leader, entrepreneur and noted author, Richard has spoken to audiences throughout North America and beyond, on such subjects as: "The Fundamentals of Success", and "How to Get Free from Your Business – and Get a Life!". Both of these extremely popular messages are being made into a book, both for release in 2012.
His messages are compelling and pragmatic. Best of all, as throngs of readers and clients attest, his proven system works in companies of all sizes…and Life.
Besides speaking to audiences throughout the world, Mr. Nixon has expressed his important point of view through his highly acclaimed books.
His first book, The Lazy Man’s Way to Riches 20th Anniversary Edition, took his mentor, Joe Karbo's orginal best selling book and updated and expanded it and then Self Published it.
Richards edition took on such a life of its own, that he was sought out by major publishers. So, The Lazy Man's Way To Riches Revisited; How To Have Everything in the World You Really Want, an update of his first book was published by Penguin Classics in 1995, and The Lazy Man Version 3.0 was published by Wiley in 2002.
He also authored The Roadmap To Riches (F P Publishing Company, 1993 - 2002) the Workbook for The Lazy Man's Way to Riches. It attained "best seller" status in only two weeks and was awarded the publishers "Gold Seal" award of excellence.
Richard became passionate about speaking to the younger generation, so he became a guest speaker at colleges throughout the country speaking on The Fundamentals of Success. It was so well received by the college age, that he was asked by 2 Universities in Colorado to create a curriculum and teach a class based on his seminar. He was to start his professorship in the Spring of 2007.
He was excited about this new journey in his life, when tragedy struck in the winter of 2006. He was out riding his motorcycle when a 12 year old boy cut out in front of him. He swerved to avoid hitting the child, causing his untimely death after fighting for his life for 5 weeks in ICU.
He led an amazing, wonderful life, he practiced what he wrote and was loved and adored by his 3 children, 6 granddaughters, and especially by me, his wife.
There is no better role model for being a Success at Life than Richard G. Nixon!
